Saree over Denim!!!

Hi Peeps,

My last few posts were all about ethnic wear. This time I thought of mixing my ethnic outfit with a western piece for a fusion look. I had already done one fusion look post with a dhoti pant and an ethnic skirt last month (Check it out here).  I love creating fusion looks and when it comes to saree, i think it is the most versatile outfit which can be draped and paired up in multiple ways giving you a glamorous look. Saree is one outfit which has been transformed from being just a traditional and conventional wear to a chic statement and glamorous wear. Fusion of saree with something western and more comfortable is a trend which has been spotted in several fashion weeks now.

If you love wearing saree and wanna look more casual then here is the look for you.

Its summer season and floral print is a must have. I wore this floral print and bright color Georgette saree over a denim shirt.

Paired up my outfit with a sleek belt on the waist, a statement necklace and a hand cuff.

Also to give it a little desi touch, i tried this DIY nose pin.

Outfit details:

Saree and Jewellery from local market of Mumbai                                                                         Denim shirt: GAP

So, this is one of the super fun ways of wearing your saree in a chic style.

You can also use a solid color plain saree with your denim shirt and pair it up with statement jewellery.

Instead of using a denim shirt, you can also use a denim vest or a denim jacket to take your saree game to the next level.

What do you think of this fusion look?

Let me know in the comments below.

You can also follow me on instagram for more details on my daily outfit.

Take care 🙂
